Product photography from our York studio

Ecommerce photography.

A complete view. Across your shop.

An online product page has to answer the questions a customer would ask in a shop. We plan a set of photographs that shows the whole item, its useful details and, where needed, how it is used.

The photographs work together

What does your product page need to explain?

A package is an agreed set for your products. We confirm what is included, rather than assuming every item needs the same photographs.

01

Start with the whole product

A clear first image helps people recognise the item and compare products in your shop. Keep the background and framing consistent across the range.

02

Answer the next question

Show the inside of a bag, a fastening, the back of a product or its surface. Choose the views that explain something useful, rather than filling a fixed number of slots.

03

Show a use or setting

A supporting scene can explain how a product is served, used or placed in a home. Plan these images alongside the simpler views so the set belongs together.

From a single item to a catalogue

Make the range easy to compare.

Products, colours and bundles
List each product and colour you need photographed. Flag sets that are sold together so the images show the right contents.
One agreed approach
We plan lighting, angles and space around each item. Send existing shop images if new products need to sit alongside them.
Names you can work with
Share your product names or reference numbers. Agree file naming before the shoot so the finished images are easier to match to your listings.

Agree the useful versions

Ready for your own shop.

Count finished photographs

Ten products with a front, back and detail view means thirty images. A group photograph or styled scene is another image to plan.

Share your website requirements

Tell us your shop platform and any image instructions. We agree dimensions, backgrounds and file types, including any background-free versions.

Plan future additions

If you add products regularly, tell us how often. We can plan repeat shoots around a consistent approach and quote for the work involved.

Planning your shoot

From the first conversation to the finished images.

How we price your shoot ↗
  1. Send the product list

A website link or simple list is enough to start. Include colours, bundles and your launch date.

  2. Agree the set for each product

We confirm the views, supporting scenes, file requirements and itemised price before booking.

  3. Photograph, finish and deliver

Send the agreed samples to York. We prepare the photographs and supply the files in the formats agreed for your shop.

Build the right set of images

What else needs to be shown?

Just the clear product views?

Let’s plan the work

Tell us what you have in mind.

Launching a shop, refreshing a range or adding new products? Tell us what is changing and which questions the photographs need to answer.

A product link or rough idea is enough to start. We will come back with a plan and an itemised estimate.

Before you book

Ecommerce photography questions.

What is included in an ecommerce package?

We agree the image set around your products. It can include clear product views, close-ups, groups and styled images. The estimate lists the photographs and finishing included; there is no assumed number of images per product.

Can you work with Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. Share your website and any image requirements. We agree the dimensions, backgrounds and file formats so the photographs fit the way your shop displays products.

Can different products have different numbers of photos?

Yes. A simple item may need fewer views than a bag with pockets or a kit with several parts. We plan around what a customer needs to understand.

Can I add products to an existing range?

Yes. Send examples of your current photographs and a list of the new items. We agree the lighting, angles and framing to keep the range consistent.

How is the price worked out?

We quote for the images and work agreed for your project. Your itemised estimate sets out the photography, editing and any additional production requirements. Packshots Pro is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT. There is no minimum order.

Can you work to my deadline?

Tell us the date when you enquire, along with when the products or source images will be available. We confirm the delivery date before booking and will tell you if the brief needs adjusting to fit the time available.
