Flooring & materials photography.

The grain. The surface. The larger picture.

A small sample needs to explain a surface that may cover a whole room. Show the colour and texture up close, then give customers the context to understand the pattern and scale.

The details matter

Surface, variation and scale.

Light across the surface
Side light can describe grain, embossing and texture. We agree the finish that needs to be visible without exaggerating relief.
Show variation honestly
Natural grain and patterned materials can vary between pieces. Send representative samples and tell us how much variation the range includes.
Keep pattern scale clear
Sample photography and room-setting imagery do different jobs. We agree dimensions, layout and any composite work separately.

How we price your shoot ↗
  1. Send the product details

Send sample dimensions, range references and representative pieces. Include board or tile sizes, laying patterns and any room-setting references.

  2. Agree the shots and price

We confirm the views, styling, samples, retouching and finished files. You receive an itemised estimate before booking.

  3. Send your products to York

We photograph the agreed brief and prepare your images for review. Delivery timing and return arrangements are confirmed with you.

Let’s look at your products

What are you
working on?

A sample range, new surface finish or room-setting brief. Tell us about the materials, dimensions and variation between pieces.

A product link or rough brief is enough to start. We will come back with a plan and a price.

Tell us about your products

A product link, a shot list or a rough idea is a good place to start. Tell us what you need and we’ll help plan your photography.

How is the photography priced?

We quote for your products, the agreed shots, preparation and retouching. Send a product list and the images you need for an itemised estimate. Packshots Pro is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT.

How many flooring samples should I send?

Tell us the material and natural or printed variation first. We agree enough representative pieces to show the range without suggesting every board or tile is identical.

Can you show the material in a room?

We can discuss room-setting composite imagery separately from sample photography. Supply dimensions and layout references so scale and pattern can be agreed.

Can photographs replace physical samples?

They help customers compare colour, texture and finish online. Physical samples are still useful for judging the material under the lighting where it will be installed.

Can I book a small shoot?

Yes. There is no minimum order. We can photograph a single product or plan a larger range, with the shots and price agreed before you book.

When will I receive the images?

Tell us your deadline when you enquire. We confirm studio availability, review stages and delivery timing before booking, together with the finished file formats and included amendments.
